The Sipoonjoki traditional sauna is not just any sauna. Its dark, gentle warmth is created from the pure heat of wood and the soft touch of smoke.
In the dim light of the smoke sauna, the light of candles and lanterns dances on the log walls, and the air is filled with the scent of forest and wood. This is a place where time stops and one returns to the rhythm of nature – a place where one can just be and breathe.
Together and alone – the two sides of the public sauna
A public sauna brings people together, but also gives permission to retreat to your own peace.
It's the men's turn. on Mondays, women's turn on tuesdays.
On Wednesday, the sauna becomes completely silent – it's a quiet time, when words are replaced by breathing and the fire is allowed to speak with its own voice. The quiet sauna shift is a general mixed sauna shift dedicated to peace and relaxation.
In the sauna, phones and conversations are banned so that the warmth and silence can do their job. You can exchange opinions peacefully in the lean-to or outside the sauna cabin, surrounded by the sounds of nature.
On Thursdays spending time in the sauna Peat Thursdays, where traditional Finnish peat therapy is combined with the deep warmth of a sauna.
The sauna door is open to everyone – you don't need to reserve a private moment here to find some private peace.

Your own towel and water bottle are sufficient for most people. If you wish, you can bring a washcloth or a seat pad. It is possible to rent a towel and buy something to drink on site.
